A report claims that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is in line to triple his current Borussia Dortmund salary when putting pen to paper on a long-term deal at Manchester United.

Manchester United will reportedly push through a move for Henrikh Mkhitaryan by offering the Borussia Dortmund midfielder triple his current salary.

The Armenia international is close to finalising a switch to Old Trafford following drawn-out negotiations between the two clubs in recent weeks.

According to German publication Bild, the 27-year-old is in line to receive €12.5million in wages - around £200,000 a week - once he puts pen to paper on a long-term deal at Old Trafford.

Mkhitaryan, who scored 19 times and set up a further 24 goals last season, will become the Red Devils' third signing of the off-season after the arrivals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly earlier this summer.
