Ten Hag has confirmed that Man United right-back Diogo Dalot is "not available" for Saturday's derby due to a hamstring problem, while Donny van de Beek has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury. Axel Tuanzebe is also sidelined through injury.
Jadon Sancho is unlikely to feature as he continues his individual fitness programme, but the Red Devils are able to welcome back Bruno Fernandes, who missed the win over Charlton due to suspension, and the playmaker is expected to join Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in midfield.
Rashford, who has scored in all six of United's games since the World Cup break, is poised for a recall to the first XI along with Raphael Varane – who was rested in midweek – and Luke Shaw, with Alejandro Garnacho, Harry Maguire and Tyrell Malacia all set to drop to the substitutes' bench.
While Ten Hag has confirmed that a winter-window move for Wout Weghorst is "close" to completion, the Dutch striker will not be registered in time for the 12:30pm kickoff on Saturday; Anthony Martial is therefore expected to lead the line from the start as long as he passes a late fitness test.
As for Man City, Guardiola has confirmed that John Stones is "not ready" to return after missing the Southampton defeat due to fitness issues, while "everyone else is fit" according to the Spanish boss, meaning Ruben Dias could return to the matchday squad for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury at the World Cup.
Kyle Walker surprisingly began as a central defender in midweek, but he will likely revert to right-back on Saturday, with Aymeric Laporte, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake all battling for a starting spot at centre-back. However, Ake may be preferred over Joao Cancelo and Sergio Gomez to begin at left-back.
Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri are expected to return to centre-midfield, with Cole Palmer and Kalvin Phillips set to drop out of the first XI, while Haaland – the top scoring player across Europe's top-five leagues with 21 goals – will return in his central role up front.
Riyad Mahrez has scored nine goals when coming off the bench under Guardiola, the most of any substitute in the Spaniard's entire managerial top-flight career, but the in-form Algerian could be recalled to the first XI on Saturday after being given a rest in midweek, with either Foden, Jack Grealish or Julian Alvarez completing the front three.

Brighton came through their FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough with no new injury concerns to report, although Anfield hat-trick hero Trossard will miss out after landing himself in hot water with De Zerbi, having left training early last week after being told that he would not play in the cup.
Jakub Moder is the hosts' only injury absentee for this game, though, as the Poland midfielder targets a return from a knee problem next month, and De Zerbi was able to give Adam Webster some minutes off the bench in the FA Cup, where Lewis Dunk was rested.
An expected return for Mac Allister in the final third means that Lallana may have to accept a spot on the bench against his former club, while emerging star Evan Ferguson should enjoy another start up front.
Over at Anfield, Liverpool's long-term absentees Diogo Jota, Arthur, Luis Diaz and Virgil van Dijk all remain out of contention, while Roberto Firmino has suffered a setback in his recovery from a calf issue, but James Milner (hamstring) should be available.
On another negative note, Klopp is unsure if Darwin Nunez will be fit to play after picking up an unspecified injury, so Cody Gakpo's first Premier League start is seemingly a guarantee.
The 23-year-old - who admitted to having "good and sloppy" moments in his inaugural appearance - ought to line up at the tip of the attack here, while Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate will pair up in the absence of Van Dijk.

Everton vs. Southampton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Everton's Alex Iwobi was stretchered off with an ankle ligament injury against Man United and is ruled out for around three weeks, with the midfielder joining Michael Keane, Andros Townsend, Nathan Patterson (all knee) and James Garner (back) in the treatment room.
Abdoulaye Doucoure replaced Iwobi shortly after half time at Old Trafford and he could start in a midfield three on Saturday alongside Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin may replace Neal Maupay up front.
Lampard will likely revert to a back four with Ben Godfrey set to drop out for either Dwight McNeil or Anthony Gordon, who could join Calvert-Lewin and Demarai Gray in attack.
As for Southampton, Valentino Livramento has suffered a setback in his recovery from an ACL injury after picking up a muscle problem in his other leg shortly after returning to training with the club's B team.
Armel Bella-Kotchap, Stuart Armstrong and Juan Larios all remain on the treatment table, while Alex McCarthy and former Everton man Theo Walcott are closing in on a return to full fitness.
January addition Mislav Orsic made his Saints debut as a substitute on Wednesday and will be pushing for his first start on Saturday, while the signing of Carlos Alcaraz was announced prior to the win over Man City and the 20-year-old could make his debut against the Toffees in centre-midfield.
Adams, Romain Perraud, Sam Edozie and Mohamed Elyounoussi, who all began on the bench in midweek, will be hoping to force their way into the first XI, although Jones may be tempted to stick with the majority of the side that beat Man City.

Forest's evening in the EFL Cup was not all sunshine and rainbows, as goalscorer Boly had to come off with an ankle injury just after the hour mark and was subsequently pictured with an ice pack on the affected area, sparking fears of his availability for the weekend.
Omar Richards, Cheikhou Kouyate, Giulian Biancone, Jesse Lingard and Moussa Niakhate are definite absentees for Saturday's contest, but Neco Williams could be back from a blow to the nose to play backup to the in-form Serge Aurier, and Cooper is keeping his "fingers crossed" that Awoniyi will be back from a groin issue here.
Scott McKenna should be called upon to deputise for Boly in the backline if need be, and a first Premier League start could come the way of Gustavo Scarpa if Cooper decides not to take a risk on Awoniyi.
As for Leicester, Rodgers also had a packed treatment room to contend with, as Ricardo Pereira, Ryan Bertrand, James Maddison, Boubakary Soumare, James Justin and Jonny Evans are all guaranteed to miss out, while Dennis Praet and Ayoze Perez are doubts.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is battling to recover from a glute injury in time to make the trip, but he may only be fit enough for a spot among the replacements, allowing Ayoze Perez to keep his spot in the XI for the time being if he is fit enough.
Jamie Vardy was guilty of a shocking miss against Newcastle, which will not aid his efforts of displacing Patson Daka up front, but Kelechi Iheanacho could push for a rare start after scoring the game's only goal against Gillingham in the FA Cup.

There has been little movement in the Molineux infirmary in recent weeks, with long-term absentees Pedro Neto, Boubacar Traore, Sasa Kalajdzic and Chiquinho all still sidelined, and Diego Costa will need assessing due to a knock.
A few alterations will certainly occur for the hosts, as Max Kilman and Hugo Bueno eye returns to the backline, while Neves is sure to take his place in the engine room despite his recent penalty woes.
If Costa is unable to feature, a first start in a Wolves jersey should come the way of Atletico Madrid loanee Matheus Cunha, who came off the bench to set up Jimenez's equaliser at the City Ground.
As for West Ham, Vladimir Coufal sustained a blow to the knee following a challenge from Leeds' Crysencio Summerville last week, and his participation is up in the air after he missed the win over Brentford in the FA Cup.
There is optimism over the availability of Scamacca, Alphonse Areola, Kurt Zouma and Manuel Lanzini for the trip to Molineux, but Maxwel Cornet's calf problem may take a little bit longer to fully heal.
Moyes should largely keep faith with the first-string side that saw off Brentford, although Scamacca - who is aiming to score home and away against a single opponent for the first time in any top division - will push to displace Michail Antonio if fit enough.

Brentford's star striker Ivan Toney was not quite ready to return from his knee injury in the FA Cup, but the England international is making significant progress and should be able to apply for a place in the squad this weekend.
Shandon Baptiste, Frank Onyeka and Aaron Hickey could also come back into the fold in what would be part of a quadruple injury boost for Frank, leaving Pontus Jansson (hamstring) as the hosts' only absentee for Saturday's game.
Freiburg loanee Kevin Schade came off the bench for his Brentford debut in the FA Cup, and the 21-year-old could now earn his first Premier League minutes as a substitute versus the Cherries.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth defender Adam Smith has incurred a one-match Premier League ban after accumulating five yellow cards, and with Ryan Fredericks also nursing an unspecified injury, Jack Stacey should come in to start this one.
David Brooks, Neto, Marcus Tavernier and Junior Stanislas are also confined to the treatment room, but Jefferson Lerma - who was rested in the FA Cup in order to manage some knee discomfort - should return to the engine room.
O'Neil put out a recognisable XI for his side's FA Cup loss to Burnley, but the Cherries boss could field a new-look defence here, with Jack Stephens and Jordan Zemura potentially dropping out for Lloyd Kelly and Chris Mepham alongside the introduction of Stacey.
