Pogba: 'United didn't deserve Spurs defeat'

Midfielder Paul Pogba says that Manchester United did not deserve to lose 3-0 against Tottenham Hotspur in Monday's Premier League fixture at Old Trafford.

Midfielder Paul Pogba has said that football can be "cruel" after Manchester United suffered a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.

United created more than twice as many shots than Spurs, but the North London outfit netted three times in the second half to run out comfortable winners at Old Trafford.

The North-West giants have now suffered their worst start to a Premier League campaign since 1992, but Pogba has claimed that United were unfortunate to lose out convincingly to one of their title rivals.

The 25-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "I think it was an undeserved defeat for us, in our desire, in everything we put into it, but football can be cruel. We just have to bounce back."

"It won't be easy, but it's just the start of the season. I prefer to start badly and end well than start well and finish badly."

United currently sit in 13th place in the top-flight standings.
