Keane: 'Man City not good enough to win the title'

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane says that Manchester City are not good enough to win this season's Premier League title.

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has doubted whether Manchester City have the credentials to win this season's Premier League title.

The Citizens have struggled for consistency in the opening months of the 2020-21 campaign and currently sit down in ninth position in the table, five points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

Pep Guardiola's side will be looking to close the gap when they host West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night, but Keane, speaking after Saturday's goalless draw with United, has claimed that City do not have enough to reclaim the title from Liverpool.

"There's not a title in this team. I don't see it. You look at the players up front, and the striker, a vital role for City when you play one up front," Keane told Sky Sports News.

"[Sergio] Aguero, every time he comes back from an injury he seems to be carrying weight or picking up more knocks, and [Gabriel] Jesus is not going to fire you to a league title. For all the talent they have, I still think they're behind Chelsea, Liverpool, and Spurs."

City, who have only won five of their 11 league matches this season, last lifted the title in 2018-19.
