Prime Minister Boris Johnson Coronation Street as the soap celebrates its 60th birthday.
The show marked a world-leading 60 years on the air last night with a special episode that included the conclusion of a long-running domestic abuse storyline .
Taking to Twitter before the episode aired, the PM wrote: "The residents of Weatherfield have entertained us for six fantastic decades with gripping storylines & characters loved by many.
