BBC to show Copa Libertadores games

The BBC will show seven games from the remainder of this year's Copa Libertadores, including both semi-finals and the final.

The BBC has announced plans to screen seven games from the remaining stages of this year's Copa Libertadores.

The competition - the South American equivalent of the Champions League - is currently midway through the quarter-finals stage, with teams such as Argentina's River Plate and Boca Juniors, Brazil's Gremio and Santos and Uruguayan outfit Nacional still all in the running.

The BBC will show two matches from the second leg of the quarter-finals, starting with Nacional vs. River Plate this Thursday night/Friday morning at 12.30am UK time.

The all-Argentine tie between Racing and the late Diego Maradona's former side Boca Juniors will also be screened in the early hours of Christmas Eve.

The BBC's rights also include both legs of each semi-final in the first two weeks of January, plus the final on January 30, 2021.

All of the games will air on the iPlayer, the BBC Sport website and BBC Red Button - also available on Sky channel 981 - while the final is also expected to be broadcast on BBC One or BBC Two.
