Manchester City have sealed a £50m buy-back option for Kelechi Iheanacho as the striker closes in on his protracted move to Leicester City, according to a report.

Manchester City have persuaded Leicester City to accept the inclusion of a £50m buy-back clause in Kelechi Iheanacho's contract, according to a report.

The 20-year-old has scored 21 goals during his time in the first team at the Etihad Stadium, but made just six starts in the Premier League and Champions League last season.

According to The Telegraph, Iheanacho had a medical at Leicester's training ground on Tuesday and will join the Foxes for £25m in the next 48 hours.

The report, however, goes on to claim that Man City have struck an agreement which will see them given the first option to re-sign the Nigerian for the sum of £50m as per the clause.

Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and AS Monaco were also reported to be interested in Iheanacho.
