Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez is reported to be "increasingly confident" of securing a move away from the King Power this summer.

Leicester City's wantaway winger Riyad Mahrez is said to be "increasingly hopeful" of forcing a move away from the club before the summer transfer window shuts.

The 26-year-old handed in a transfer request earlier this summer, outlining his desire to find a new challenge away from the former English champions next term.

The Algerian has since attracted interest from a number of sides, including Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but the Foxes' insistence on a transfer fee of £50m is thought to have put off potential suitors.

Serie A side Roma have already had offers of £20m and £32m rejected but according to The Mirror, the Italian club are "confident" of a compromise and "expect Mahrez to help agitate for a switch if necessary".

Mahrez signed for Leicester for just £425,000 from French side Le Havre in January 2014 and has since gone on to make 122 league appearances for the side, scoring 30 times.
