Leicester City have rejected an improved offer of £31.5m from Roma for winger Riyad Mahrez, according to reports.

The Algeria international revealed at the end of the 2016-17 season that he wants to leave the King Power Stadium and experience a new challenge.

Roma are one of the teams rumoured to be interested in signing Mahrez as they prepare to embark on a new Serie A and Champions League campaign.

However, talkSPORT claims that the Foxes have turned down the latest Giallorossi offer for the 26-year-old, amid reports suggesting that they will not budge for less than £50m.

Mahrez has netted 35 goals in 138 appearances in all competitions in his three-and-a-half years in the East Midlands.
