Liverpool reportedly have no intention of offloading Jon Flanagan to Brendan Rodgers's Celtic.

Liverpool reportedly have no intention of selling Jon Flanagan this summer, despite newspaper claims that Celtic are trying to sign the full-back.

It has been rumoured that former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers wants to reunite with Flanagan at Celtic.

The Glasgow-based club are said to be keen on a loan deal, but the report adds that Liverpool are only open to a permanent transfer.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, the Scottish giants have not contacted Anfield, and the Merseyside outfit intend to keep Flanagan as he is part of manager Jurgen Klopp's plans.

The 23-year-old, who returned to action earlier this year after missing 18 months with a knee injury, signed a new three-year deal at Liverpool in March.
