A report claims that Charlie Taylor is on the brink of finalising his switch to Burnley, with the Premier League club expected to hand over in the region of £4m.

Full-back Charlie Taylor will reportedly join Burnley in the coming days after turning down a three-year contract at Leeds United.

The 23-year-old is now officially out of contract at Elland Road after being a part of the Whites' setup for the past 14 years.

Leeds can still expect a healthy compensation fee for the defender, though, with Burnley said to be willing to offer £4m for a player that was nurtured in United's youth ranks before going on to make over 100 senior appearances.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Standard, Taylor knocked back the offer of a new deal and is now close to finalising a switch to the Clarets, with a transfer potentially being wrapped up this weekend.

West Bromwich Albion had also been tipped to make a move for Taylor, but were thought to have been put off by a possible tribunal to determine his price.
