Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how USA could line up for Friday's 2022 World Cup Group B clash with England.

USA duo Weston McKennie and Yunus Musah are expected to be fit for Friday's World Cup 2022 Group B encounter with England.

The two midfielders were taken off in the second half of the 1-1 draw with Wales on Monday due to respective groin and toe issues, but the pair have since trained with the first-team squad and are set to retain their places in the middle of the pitch alongside captain Tyler Adams.

Indeed, Adams could be one of five Premier League-based players who keeps his place in the first XI against the Three Lions, although his Leeds United teammate Brendan Aaronson may have to settle for a place on the bench again should Gregg Berhalter opt to name an unchanged starting lineup.

Fulham duo Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson are expected to join Sergino Dest and Walker Zimmerman in the back four, shielding Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner.

Chelsea attacker and USA star man Christian Pulisic is one of the first names on the teamsheet and is set to operate on the left side of the front three, with Norwich City's Joshua Sargent down the middle and Timothy Weah – who scored the opener in the draw with Wales – taking his place on the right.

Borussia Dortmund starlet Giovanni Reyna was an unused substitute against Wales, but Berhalter has said that the 20-year-old can "play a big role" for USA at the World Cup, so a start could be on the horizon for the attacker.

DeAndre Yedlin, Kellyn Acosta, Jordan Morris and Haji Wright, who all came on as substitutes last time out, are likely to begin on the bench again against England.

USA possible starting lineup: Turner; Dest, Zimmerman, Ream, A. Robinson; McKennie, Adams, Musah; Weah, Sargent, Pulisic
