Derby County complete the signing of Leicester City forward Tom Lawrence on a long-term contract.

Derby County have announced that they have completed the signing of Leicester City forward Tom Lawrence for an undisclosed fee.

After impressing on loan at Ipswich Town last season, Lawrence was wanted by a number of clubs ahead of the closure of the transfer window, but the Welsh international has decided to pen a long-term contract with Leicester's local rivals Derby.

Lawrence moved to the Foxes in September 2014, but he leaves the 2015-16 Premier League champions having made just four appearances in all competitions.

During that period, the Welsh international has spent time at Rotherham United, Blacburn Rovers and Cardiff City, but it was his spell at Portman Road which stands out after 11 goals were netted in 36 appearances.

The former Manchester United trainee follows Curtis Davies, Andre Wisdom and Tom Huddlestone in making the switch to the iPro Stadium.
