Alan Pardew reveals that he is keen to sign a new contract as soon as Crystal Palace's status as a Premier League club for another season is secured.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has said that he hopes to sign a new contract once the club has secured its Premier League status.

The Eagles looked to be on course for a top-half finish in December, but a 14-game winless run dragged them into relegation trouble.

A 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Norwich City at the weekend eased those fears and now Pardew has his eyes on fresh terms.

"Once we're safe hopefully I'll sign a new contract here because I want to stay here," he told reporters.

Pardew's current deal at Selhurst Park runs until the summer of 2018.
