Chelsea defender Fankaty Dabo becomes the latest Blues youngster to make a loan move to Eredivisie side Vitesse.

Fankaty Dabo has become the latest Chelsea youngster to make a loan move to Dutch side Vitesse.

The 21-year-old made 15 appearances for Swindon Town in League One in the second half of last season and will now spend the 2017-18 campaign in the Eredivisie.

Vitesse confirmed the deal on their official website on Sunday, with defender Dabo becoming their third signing of the summer after Thomas Bruns and Thulani Serero.

Chelsea have loaned players to Vitesse on a regular basis since 2010, with Nemanja Matic and Bertrand Traore among the players to have had stints in the Netherlands.

Last season Nathan, Lewis Baker, Matt Miazga and Mukhtar Ali were all loaned to the Arnhem-based club as they finished fifth in the Dutch top flight.
