Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping a close eye on RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann amid uncertainty surrounding Jose Mourinho's future.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann as a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho witnessed his Spurs side return to losing ways in the Premier League with a crushing 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, just days after conceding five at Everton and being knocked out of the FA Cup.

The Portuguese boss is now the bookies' second favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked after Jurgen Klopp, and Tottenham are reportedly planning ahead for a possible change in the dugout.

According to The Athletic, Daniel Levy is not prepared to pull the trigger on Mourinho just yet, but he will not hesitate to bring in a new manager if results do not improve soon.

The report adds that 33-year-old Leipzig manager Nagelsmann, who was initially considered for the Chelsea job after Frank Lampard's sacking, is being closely monitored by Tottenham, although he still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his current Leipzig deal.

Nagelsmann's Leipzig currently sit second in the Bundesliga table, whereas Mourinho's Tottenham have slipped down to ninth in the Premier League after losing four of their last five in the league.
