Chelsea confirm that defender and Jamaica international Michael Hector has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan.

Chelsea have confirmed that defender Michael Hector is joining German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan.

The 24-year-old was a surprise signing from Reading a year ago and was loaned back to the Championship club for the rest of last season.

According to West London Sport, the Bundesliga club initially expressed an interest in another Blues centre-back, Matt Miazga, before agreeing a deal for Hector.

The Jamaican international has not made a competitive first-team appearance for Chelsea but did feature during their recent pre-season campaign.
