Atletico Madrid are reportedly lining up a January offer for Arsenal defender Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The 23-year-old was strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium over the summer, but the transfer window closed with the Englishman still in North London.
Maitland-Niles has been a regular for Mikel Arteta's side this term, making 17 appearances in all competitions, while he has started the team's last two Premier League matches.
According to Sky Sports News, Atletico, having lost Kieran Trippier for 10 weeks through suspension, are set to make a bid for the Gunners defender at the start of 2021.
The report claims that Diego Simeone's side have been keeping a close eye on Maitland-Niles's progress over the last 12 months and are now ready to make their move.
The England international has a contract at the Emirates Stadium until June 2023.
