FIA president Jean Todt has said that he wants cockpit protection that is set to be introduced in Formula 1 to also be applied to the junior categories.

The Frenchman made a visit to the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed at the weekend, where a 'halo' device - set for introduction in F1 next year - was fitted to a junior single seater.

"It's important to see that these improvements are also implemented throughout the single-seater pyramid," said Todt.

The 2016 F1 championship continues on Sunday with the Austrian Grand Prix.
