Sporting Lisbon are reportedly willing to accept a £26m bid from Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder and club captain Adrien Silva.

Sporting Lisbon have informed Tottenham Hotspur that they want £26m for midfielder Adrien Silva, according to a report.

The 28-year-old has made 165 appearances for the Portuguese giants since he signed his first professional contract with them in 2007, scoring 31 goals in that time.

However, the Sporting captain is rumoured to be pining for a move to a bigger league, with a switch to Leicester City reportedly falling through last summer.

According to Record, Silva has a release clause of around £39.5m in his SCP contract, but the club is willing to move the unsettled player on at a cut-price fee.

The France-born midfielder, who has 18 caps for Portugal, has spent most of his professional career with Sporting, bar loan spells with Maccabi Haifa and Academica de Coimbra.
