Watford are reportedly aiming to bring Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio to the Premier League.

Watford are allegedly planning to launch a summer bid for Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio.

Hornets boss Marco Silva is willing to part with £8m to secure the stopper's services, reports the Daily Star.

Silva, who joined Watford from relegated Hull City this summer, worked with Patricio during his time in charge of Sporting in the 2014-15 season.

Patricio has spent his entire senior career with Sporting and has made almost 300 appearances for the club as well as earning 61 senior caps for Portugal.

Silva is said to be keen to bring competition to Heurelho Gomes for a place in the Hornets goal.
