Harry Kane confirms that he will stay at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Harry Kane has confirmed that he will stay at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The England captain is yet to win a major trophy in his career and has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City in order to fulfil his ambitions of silverware.

Kane is understood to have made his alleged desire to leave clear following the end of the 2020-21 season, but Daniel Levy reportedly refused to entertain offers of less than £150m for the 28-year-old.

After making his first appearance of the new season off the bench at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Kane took to social media to confirm his stay, writing on Twitter: "It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I've had in the last few weeks.

"I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success."

Kane remains contracted to Nuno Espirito Santo's side until the summer of 2024, and his announcement comes after a recent report claimed that Man City's players were confident of him joining the Premier League champions.

The striker boasts 221 goals and 47 assists from 337 games in Tottenham colours, including 166 strikes in the Premier League, which puts him seventh on the list of all-time top goalscorers in the competition.
