Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane insists that he has no problems with Isco's controversial comments during the international break.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has insisted that he has no problems with Isco's controversial comments during the international break.

Isco, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, struck a hat-trick in Spain's 6-1 win over Argentina on Tuesday night, before claiming that he does not have the faith of his club manager Zidane.

Indeed, the 25-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular spot for Los Blancos in recent weeks, which has led to suggestions of interest from the Premier League.

Zidane, however, has insisted that Isco is "important" for the Spanish giants, and will not be leaving the Bernabeu.

"Maybe he has a different role with Spain to here, but he's important. I've always felt he's important for this team and it's only natural a player wants to play more," Zidane told reporters.

"I don't think I'm an unfair person. But my job is to pick 11 players. He is an important one and will be an important one, always. As I said, it comes down to interpretation, but I'm not upset at all with Isco.

"It's not his fault. Whenever he plays he works hard; gives 100% - he kills himself. Sometimes things come off, sometimes they don't. I don't think there's an issue with Isco. I'm happy with him. There is no problem. I'm happy with his performances. Isco is a Real Madrid player and he'll remain here. That's it."

Madrid will return to La Liga action away to Las Palmas on Saturday night.
