Tiger Woods to return to action in November at Hero World Challenge

Golf legend Tiger Woods confirms that he will return to action at the end of November in the Hero World Challenge.

Former world number one Tiger Woods has confirmed that he plans to make his return to action at the end of November in the Hero World Challenge.

The 41-year-old, who has won 14 Majors in his career, has been on the sidelines since February due to a back injury, which required surgery in April.

Woods, who has had four operations on his back in the past three years, will compete in the Bahamas event that he hosts in around a month's time.

In a statement, the American said: "I am excited to return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge. Albany is the perfect setting and it will be great to join this outstanding field."

Back problems have restricted Woods to just six competitive rounds in the last two years.
