Cristiano Ronaldo admits that he scored "a great goal" in Real Madrid's 3-0 Champions League victory at Juventus.

Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo has described his overhead kick during his side's Champions League win over Juventus last night as "an incredible moment".

Los Blancos put one foot in the semi-finals of the competition courtesy of a 3-0 victory in Turin, but it was Ronaldo who stole the show with an incredible bicycle kick just after the hour mark.

Some Juventus fans even applauded in the aftermath of the goal and, speaking to reporters after the game, Ronaldo was quick to praise his side for an overall "amazing" performance.

"It was a great goal," he said. "What can I say? It was fantastic. I didn't expect to score that goal, but let's speak about the game.

"I think the game was amazing and we scored three goals against Juventus, a great team. We played nice and of course I am happy. I helped the team, I scored two goals and it was a great night."

Of Juventus supporters applauding him, he added: "It was an incredible moment. I want to thank all the Juventus fans as they have done something fantastic that has never happened to me during my career."

The return leg takes place next Wednesday at the Bernabeu.
