Anthony Joshua claims that he will knock WBC champion Deontay Wilder "spark out" after defeating Joseph Parker on points in Saturday's unification clash in Cardiff.

Anthony Joshua has pledged to "spark out" WBC champion Deontay Wilder after defeating Joseph Parker on points in Saturday's unification clash in Cardiff.

The 28-year-old took the WBO belt from Parker, adding it to his WBA 'super' and IBF titles, after going the distance for the first time in a unanimous decision victory at the Principality Stadium.

Joshua hopes that a deal could be reached to bring United States star Wilder to Britain and vowed to become undisputed champion via knockout.

"I take these chances," the Briton told Sky Sports News. "You know the old saying, 'No risk, no reward.' We'll see what happens, late 2018."

Asked about making his American debut, Joshua added: "No. All these years, the UK fighters had to go to America, everyone had to spend a heap of money to go to Vegas. We can do it in London, Wembley, Cardiff - it's local. We're staying right here.

"Wilder, or [Tyson] Fury. Either one. What would I have to do to beat Wilder? Get him in the ring and I knock him spark out."

In response, Wilder posted an update on Instagram which read: "What a robbery, wow. Joseph Parker great job bro, oh my God don't apologise you did nothing wrong, you're a true champion. Anthony Joshua I accept 100%."

Neither Joshua nor Wilder has lost a professional boxing bout.
