The 231st El Clasico took part at Camp Nou on Saturday night as Barcelona welcomed Real Madrid.
The home side entered the match atop the La Liga table - 10 points clear of third-place Real Madrid and looking to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 40 matches.
Both teams had opportunities in a tight first period, but neither could make the breakthrough in Catalonia.
Barcelona eventually took the lead in the 56th minute through Gerard Pique, but Real Madrid were back on terms just past the hour when Karim Benzema volleyed home from inside the box.
Sergio Ramos was given his marching orders late on as the visitors finished with 10, but Cristiano Ronaldo netted five minutes from time to secure all the points for Los Blancos.
