Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly claims that he wants to return to England during a court appearance over tax evasion.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly said that he would like to return to England.

Earlier this summer, it was reported that Ronaldo had told the La Liga club that he would like to leave this summer after allegations of tax evasion, but no transfer pursuit from any interested team materialised.

However, in a court appearance on the matter last week, the Portuguese superstar allegedly revealed a desire to end his time in Spain and return to England, where he has previously represented Manchester United.

According to Sky Sports News, the 32-year-old said: "I never had these problems in England. That's why I want to go back there."

It has also been claimed that Ronaldo told the court that he believed that he had paid more tax than required during his eight-year stint in Madrid.
