Versatile Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez emerges as a rumoured transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, who are reportedly keen to make him their first summer signing.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly targeted young Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez as his first summer signing.

The 21-year-old, voted the Dutch club's Player of the Season in 2016-17, has been valued by sporting director Marc Overmars at £35m.

Crystal Palace, now under the management of former Ajax boss Frank de Boer, are said to have recently shown an interest in the versatile centre-back, while Barcelona and Chelsea have also been linked in the past.

According to The Sun, Pochettino hopes to bring Sanchez on board to get the ball rolling in terms of incoming activity, having so far failed to sign a single player during the off-season.

Sanchez made 45 appearances for Ajax in all competitions last time out, including the full 90 minutes of the Europa League final defeat to Manchester United in May.
