Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick says that there will be 'significant changes' at the club this summer.

Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has said that there will be 'significant changes' at the club this summer in terms of the first-team squad.

Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata and Lee Grant are all set to leave Old Trafford on free transfers at the end of June.

Meanwhile, the futures of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are currently being called into question.

Incoming head coach Erik ten Hag is expected to be backed with significant funds in the transfer market, and Rangnick has said that there will be a "rebuild" at the club due to their struggles this term.

"I mean, it's obvious there are quite a few players with their contracts expiring. There might be a few others who - although they have contracts - they are already on loan and still want to be on loan or leave the club," Rangnick told reporters.

"It will be a significant change and rebuild necessary, that's clear, but how many players and which positions, as I've said, I've not spoken to Erik in person yet. If he asks me my opinion in person, I'm willing to speak to him about my experience, but on the other hand, he'll also have his own ideas."

Rangnick, who is preparing his team for Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal, recently said that as many as 10 new players could move to Old Trafford this summer.
