Napoli forward Victor Osimhen refuses to discuss a possible switch to Manchester United after helping his side win the Serie A title.

Victor Osimhen refused to entertain talk surrounding a potential summer move when he spoke to the media following Napoli's Serie A title triumph on Thursday night.

The Nigeria international's 27th club goal of the season earned his side a point at Udinese, which proved to be enough for Luciano Spalletti's team to win the title with five games to spare.

Napoli's Serie A success was their first in 33 years, and they are now 16 points ahead of second-placed Lazio and therefore cannot be caught in the latter stages of the campaign.

Osimhen has enjoyed an excellent campaign for the Italian giants, scoring 27 goals and registering five assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.

The 24-year-old has struck 22 Serie A goals, meanwhile, and his form has led to a host of speculation surrounding a possible transfer during this summer's window.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with Osimhen, as the Red Devils prepare to sign a new big-money number nine during the upcoming market.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest in the Nigerian, who has two years left to run on his contract in Naples.

Osimhen was asked about his future after the draw at Udinese, but the forward insisted that it was not the right time to discuss a possible switch during the summer market.

"I'm thrilled with this victory," Osimhen told Sky Italia. "I'm happy for me, for the team and for the fans. I can't wait to come back in Naples to embrace our fans, even though tonight I already felt the warmth of the people. I'm happy for all the Neapolitans.

"I scored the Scudetto goal, it's true, but anyone else could have scored it. I feel like a leader and I never give up. Future? Now I want to enjoy this historic moment, this is not the time to think about my future."

Meanwhile, in a separate interview with DAZN, he said: "In what aspect do I feel I have improved in Serie A? I will forever be grateful to this league, to this competition. As I always say, I am learning the role of a striker and with Napoli it was immediately good emotions.

"I feel I have improved a lot, thanks especially to [Luciano] Spalletti and his staff, they gave me confidence to be able to grow and score a lot of goals.

"It is a fantastic emotion for me, we waited so many years to bring the Scudetto to Napoli and we succeeded, it is a day we will never forget for the rest of our lives. Now let's go celebrate with the public in our stadium. [Is it the] greatest satisfaction of my life? I couldn't have quantified this feeling, it is truly wonderful."

Osimhen has now scored 55 goals and registered 14 assists in 96 appearances for Napoli in all competitions since making the move to the Italian giants from Lille in September 2020.
