Erik ten Hag tells reporters that Manchester United have not made a decision on the future of goalkeeper David de Gea.

Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has revealed that the club have not made a decision over the future of David de Gea.

The Spaniard joined United in 2011, and he made his 500th appearance for the club in Sunday's goalless draw against Newcastle United.

De Gea's contract expires at the end of the season, and although United have the option to extend his deal by another year, Ten Hag has stated that no decision has been made on the goalkeeper's future.

Ten Hag told reporters: "We didn't make a decision on him, but what I can say is that I am really happy with David De Gea as a keeper.

"His first two performances of the season were not his best performances, but after you see he brings us a lot for the defence department, gives stability and as a person I like him.

"I can really cooperate with him really well but first we go to the winter and then we will talk about how we deal with the situations."

Although the Red Devils are believed to be looking at potential replacements, De Gea has started every game for United this season, keeping five cleans sheets in 13 matches.
