Harry Kane's record vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole takes a look at Harry Kane's record against Manchester United as a Tottenham Hotspur player.

After ending his August scoring drought with a well-taken strike against Fulham, Harry Kane will now be looking to push on when Tottenham Hotspur travel to Manchester United on Monday evening.

The England international's strange run without netting in the opening month of the campaign had stood at 14 matches, spanning 1,000 minutes, prior to his curled finish in last weekend's 3-1 win.

Kane does not exactly have the most impressive of records against this weekend's opponents, though, and an improvement will be required if Spurs are to come away with a positive result.

With that in mind, Sports Mole looks at Kane's goalscoring return in this fixture over the past four-and-a-half years.

Kane vs. Man Utd

The 25-year-old's first taste of a United vs. Spurs match came in January 2014 when the Lilywhites picked up a 2-1 win at Old Trafford - the last time a London club came away from the Theatre of Dreams with all three points.

Kane did not make much of an impact in his 15 minutes on the field, but it was not long before he became a well-known name across the footballing world thanks to his prolific goalscoring ability.

Despite scoring regularly for Spurs in the top flight, however, finishing top scorer in 2015-16 and 2016-17, Kane has netted just one goal in eight league games against United.

That came in a 2-1 win at White Hart Lane in May 2017, at a point when he was being tipped as a future Red Devil, but he was again scoreless in April's FA Cup semi-final to see his disappointing streak continue.
