Burnley boss Sean Dyche is eyeing a £15m move for Leeds United striker Chris Wood following the departure of Andre Gray, according to a report in the press.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche could reportedly make a £15m bid for Leeds United striker Chris Wood this weekend.

The Clarets boss is thought to be in the hunt for another frontman following Andre Gray's £18.5m move to Watford earlier this week, leaving Dyche with a considerable budget to find a replacement at Turf Moor.

According to The Sun, Burnley may move for the £15m-rated Wood over the weekend after the New Zealand international impressed for Leeds last season.

Wood, 25, finished as the Championship's top goalscorer during the 2016-17 campaign, having bagged 27 goals for United last term.

Burnley open their new Premier League account when they face champions Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
