Real Madrid could reportedly turn their attention to Chelsea winger Eden Hazard should the La Liga outfit fail in their attempts to land AS Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is reportedly being targeted by Real Madrid as a backup signing should the La Liga giants be unable to secure Kylian Mbappe this summer.

AS Monaco striker Mbappe has long been on Madrid's radar and the club's intrigue in the 18-year-old stepped up a notch this summer following the Frenchman's standout showings in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League last term.

It is thought that Madrid have already sought to make moves for the France international, although it has been reported that Real have been rebuffed in their efforts so far this summer.

According to Don Balon, Chelsea winger Hazard could now be targeted by Zinedine Zidane, as Real aim to secure themselves a marquee signing before the transfer window closes.

Hazard has scored 57 goals in 174 appearances for Chelsea since making his debut at Stamford Bridge in 2012.
