Inter Milan win the race to sign Eder from Sampdoria, bringing the striker to San Siro on an initial two-year loan deal.

Inter Milan have signed in-form striker Eder from Sampdoria.

The 29-year-old has swapped Serie A clubs on an initial two-year loan deal, although the Italy international has agreed to remain at San Siro until at least 2020 if the switch proves successful.

Eder, who has scored 12 Serie A goals in 19 appearances this season, told Inter's website: "I'm extremely happy to be here. Many years of sacrifice have earned me the chance to join a big club like Inter."

The Brazil-born player built his reputation at Empoli before joining Samp in January 2012 and going on to score 49 goals in all competitions for the Marassi outfit.

He could make his debut in one of Inter's biggest fixtures of the season on Sunday against local rivals AC Milan.
