How Germany could line up against England

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Germany could line up for Tuesday's UEFA Nations League clash with England.

Germany manager Hansi Flick will hope to have Marco Reus back at his disposal for Tuesday's UEFA Nations League showdown with England in Munich.

The Borussia Dortmund captain was absent from the League A Group 3 opening draw with Italy due to illness but could apply for a place in the squad in midweek.

Die Mannschaft otherwise have no selection concerns to contend with, but the tight turnaround will inevitably lead to some alterations in the first XI.

Niklas Sule and Antonio Rudiger will likely form their central partnership again, but Benjamin Henrichs was taken off just before the hour mark against Italy and could now cede his place to David Raum.

Such a switch would see Thilo Kehrer return on the right as Raum starts on the opposite side, and it would not be surprising to see Joshua Kimmich partnered with Ilkay Gundogan instead of Leon Goretzka this week.

The less said about Leroy Sane's performance on Saturday the better, so Jamal Musiala - who snubbed England to represent Die Mannschaft - could push for a place alongside Serge Gnabry.

Thomas Muller could become Germany's outright fifth-highest appearance maker and seventh-highest goalscorer this week, while Kai Havertz is in with a strong chance of displacing Timo Werner at the tip of the attack.

Germany possible starting lineup: Neuer; Kehrer, Sule, Rudiger, Raum; Gundogan, Kimmich; Gnabry, Muller, Musiala; Havertz
