Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest appoint former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu as their new manager.

Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu has been appointed head coach of Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest.

The 37-year-old, who scored 35 times in 77 appearances for Romania over a 13-year international career, represented Dinamo as a player between 1999 and 2000.

Mutu famously joined Chelsea from Parma in the summer of 2003, but his contract was terminated a year later after the striker tested positive for cocaine.

"It's an honour for me that Dinamo offered me the chance to debut in a role so important and I thank Mr [Ionut] Negoita for this huge challenge in my career. I hope to repay this trust," Mutu told the club's official website.

Mutu also represented the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus and Fiorentina during a well-travelled career which spanned across 20 years.
