How Argentina could line up against Brazil

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Argentina could line up for Sunday's World Cup Qualifying - South America clash with Brazil.

On the contrary to their opponents, Argentina's squad has been boosted for the upcoming World Cup Qualifier against Brazil by their Premier League players being allowed to fly over to join the camp.

That has seen first-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez arrive alongside winger Emiliano Buendia from Aston Villa, while Tottenham Hotspur duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso also join the squad.

With Sergio Aguero out of the squad through injury, talisman Lionel Messi should again form a front three alongside Paris Saint-Germain teammate Angel Di Maria and Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez, although Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala will also be pushing for a starting spot.

Lo Celso slotted straight into the side after arriving for Friday's clash with Venezuela, and he thrived in a midfield trio with Rodrigo De Paul and Paris Saint-Germain's Leandro Paredes, but the latter was not involved in the squad for the Venezuela clash, and could again miss out on Sunday.

In his absence, Real Betis anchor man Guido Rodriguez came into the starting XI, giving Lo Celso and De Paul the freedom to support the front three.

New Tottenham defender Cristian Romero will hope to join experienced centre-back Nicolas Otamendi at the heart of the back four, but German Pezzella has been trusted in recent outings and should keep his place.

Either side of the central pairing, the likes of Nahuel Molina, Gonzalo Montiel, Marcos Acuna and Nicolas Tagliafico will battle for full-back spots, and Molina and Acuna were given the nod last time out, while Montiel was trusted in the Copa America final against Brazil in July and contributed to a clean sheet.

Argentina possible starting lineup: E Martinez; Molina, Pezzella, Otamendi, Acuna; De Paul, Rodriguez, Lo Celso; Di Maria, Messi, L Martinez
