Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge was reportedly offered to Arsenal on loan by his agents on the final day of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge was reportedly offered to Arsenal by his agents on transfer deadline day.

The England international's representatives are understood to have approached the Gunners about a season-long loan, according to Goal.com.

A string of injury problems has restricted the 26-year-old's appearances over the past few seasons, but he still managed to score 13 goals in 25 games in the 2015-16 campaign.

Sturridge has started just one of Liverpool's four games of the season, and he came on as a late substitute in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Despite reports that the striker was offered to Arsenal, a move failed to materialise before yesterday's 11pm deadline.
