Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery believes that Arsene Wenger could become head coach at the Parc des Princes in the future.

Unai Emery has claimed that Arsene Wenger could become head coach of Paris Saint-Germain in the future.

On Friday, the Arsenal boss revealed his decision to leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season, bringing his 22-year tenure in North London to an end.

Emery, meanwhile, is believed to be on thin ice at the Parc des Princes due to PSG's failure to make progress in the Champions League this term.

"He is a reference for the world of football and us coaches. He has given inspiration to this sport," the Spaniard told a news conference.

"Every year, a dozen coaches meet in Nyon and Wenger is a reference for all of us. He has always spoken well of me.

"I have great admiration for him as a person and as a coach. He has the quality and the experience to coach the best teams in the world, like PSG."

Wenger began his managerial career in his native France, taking charge of Nancy and then Monaco before heading to Japan with Nagoya Grampus.
