Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Argentina could line up for Thursday's World Cup 2022 Qualifying clash with Paraguay.

Argentina will be able to call upon their Premier League contingent for October's World Cup 2022 qualifiers, starting with the trip to Paraguay on Thursday.

Emiliano Martinez, Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero were all at the centre of the Brazil quarantine debacle last month, but the trio have been given the green light to feature for their country this month, although Emiliano Buendia has been left out.

Aston Villa number one Martinez should therefore reclaim his rightful place in goal over Juan Musso - who started the latest 3-0 win over Bolivia - but Romero may not force his way into the defence over Nicolas Otamendi or German Pezzella.

Nahuel Molina and Marcos Acuna could complete the four-man rearguard for the Copa America champions, with the latter starting alongside his Sevilla teammate Papu Gomez against Bolivia last month.

The 33-year-old may struggle for a place on the left with Lo Celso back in the fold now, though, while Rodrigo de Paul, Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria are all set to line up from the start.

With Paulo Dybala and Sergio Aguero both out of contention due to injury, Lionel Messi and Lautaro Martinez - the former going in search of his 80th goal for the national team - should continue their partnership up top.

Argentina possible starting lineup: E. Martinez; Molina, Pezzella, Otamendi, Acuna; Di Maria, Paredes, De Paul, Lo Celso; Messi, L. Martinez
