AC Milan are reportedly interested in permanently signing West Ham United loanee Simone Zaza, who is on the books at Juventus, during the January transfer window.

AC Milan have expressed an interest in West Ham United loanee Simone Zaza and may try to sign him during the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Italy international joined the Hammers on a season-long switch from Juventus over the summer, but has struggled to make an impact for Slaven Bilic's side.

With the Zaza deal said to include an £18m purchase clause if a certain number of appearances are made, West Ham are reportedly not willing to give the 25-year-old any more game time.

According to Calciomercato, Milan are eager to offer Zaza an escape route by taking him on as a replacement for Carlos Bacca, who continues to be linked with Paris Saint-Germain.

Zaza is yet to score a goal for the East Londoners.
