Hampshire move to the top of the T20 Blast's South Group with a 21-run win over Middlesex Panthers at Lord's.

Hampshire have moved top of the T20 Blast's South Group with a 21-run win over Middlesex Panthers at Lord's.

England's Michael Carberry made an unbeaten 72 while Owais Shah also scored 64 in 45 balls to leave the hosts unable to catch up.

In the same group, Kent skipper Sam Northeast scored 90 to help his side beat Essex by six wickets at Canterbury.

The man of the match struck 12 fours and two sixes as Kent reached 174 for victory, which moved them up to second spot in division.

In the North Group, Derbyshire beat Leicestershire by 17 runs to secure only their second win of the competition, Wes Durston hitting 88 from 49 balls, with nine fours and four sixes, as his side made 189-9.

Meanwhile, Worcestershire beat Lancashire by two wickets to remain at the top of their division in their game at Old Trafford.
