Hampshire captain James Vince is being considered by Adelaide Strikers ahead of this winter's Big Bash league.

Hampshire director Giles White has revealed that captain James Vince is wanted by Adelaide Strikers for this winter's Big Bash league in Australia.

The 24-year-old, who made his England Twenty20 debut on Thursday, is being considered by the Strikers, who need an overseas player after West Indies all-rounder Keiron Pollard suffered a knee injury.

"A tournament like that would be great exposure for him ahead of the T20 World Cup," Giles told BBC Radio Solent.

"The Big Bash would be a wonderful opportunity if that were to come through for him. Adelaide Strikers have shown an initial interest in James. Others have also been touted, but James is certainly on their list of people they're looking at."

Vince scored 41 off 36 balls in England's victory over Pakistan in Dubai on Thursday.
