Former England bowler Steve Harmison believes that Hampshire spinner Mason Crane should be picked for England's away series to Pakistan later this year.

Former England bowler Steve Harmison has stated that Hampshire spinner Mason Crane should be picked for England's away series to Pakistan later this year.

The 18-year-old, who has already earned two caps for the Under-19s, has taken 10 wickets in two first-class matches for his county this season.

Harmison has said that Crane would have plenty to offer Alastair's Cook side when they tour the United Arab Emirates in the winter.

"I think England have got to give serious consideration to taking Mason Crane to the UAE as third spinner," Harmison told BBC Radio 5 live.

"I've seen a lot of him in Twenty20 cricket and he's a really good player."
