The persistent rain in Paris forces organisers to cancel play on day one of the French Open.

Organisers have decided to end the opening day of this year's French Open early.

The wet conditions at Roland Garros played havoc with the schedule throughout the day.

After the latest downpour, it was announced at around 5.30pm that all ongoing matches would have to be concluded tomorrow.

That includes Great Britain's number two Heather Watson, who trails Nicole Gibbs 7-5 2-6 2-1.
