A stress fracture of the back means that Sri Lanka bowler Dushmantha Chameera will play no further part in the Test series against England.

Bowler Dushmantha Chameera will sit out the rest of Sri Lanka's tour of England following confirmation that he has suffered a stress fracture of the back.

The 24-year-old, who took three wickets during the first Test at Headingley last week, is expected to be sidelined for around four months.

News of Chameera's omission has come shortly after it was revealed that fellow seamer Dhammika Prasad had returned home with a shoulder injury.

Sri Lanka Cricket will meet over the next 24 hours to pick a replacement for Chameera.
