Former Leicester Tigers centre Seru Rabeni dies at the age of 37 in his home in Nakasi, Fiji.

Former Leicester Tigers centre Seru Rabeni has died at the age of 37.

The midfielder, who represented the Tigers on 63 occasions between 2004 and 2009, passed away at his home in Nakasi, Fiji, on Tuesday morning, according to the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation.

The cause of the Fiji international's death is currently unclear, but it has been reported that 'Rambo' was suffering with an unknown illness.

"We are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Seru Rabeni. Our thoughts go to all his friends and family," Leicester Tigers tweeted.

Rabeni represented Fiji at both the 2003 and 2007 World Cups.
