Reported Bath transfer target Ben Youngs signs a new contract with the Leicester Tigers, along with Ed Slater and Freddie Burns.

Leicester Tigers have announced that Ben Youngs has signed a new contract with the Aviva Premiership outfit.

The 26-year-old, who has been capped 52 times by England, had recently been linked with a switch to Bath.

However, the scrum-half has put an end to the speculation, having agreed to fresh terms with a club that he has made 169 appearances for since his debut in 2007.

"I've been at the club for a long time and it's a great experience to be involved at a club with that strong family connection," he told the club's official website.

"I'm really enjoying my rugby here, working with Richard Cockerill, Aaron Mauger and the rest of the coaching team. We have a great backroom staff and coaching team, which is important too."

The Tigers also announced that both captain Ed Slater and fly-half Freddie Burns have signed new deals.
